Guardian Continuous Data Protection

Guardian takes hourly backups of all hosting accounts on the server. Backup retention is as follows:

• 48 hourly backups
• 7 daily backups
• 2 weekly backups

Customers can directly restore any files or folders from existing backup sets using a file manager type GUI.

Guardian can be directly accessed from cPanel by clicking on its icon.

Note: after clicking this icon, first a redirection occurs to https://guardian2.liquidweb.com/.

Using the "Browse" view, any of the backup sets can be chosen by date and time. Data can be browsed in a similar way as in a file manager.

As soon as one or several files/folders have been selected by ticking the box to their left, the restore button in the upper right corner of the screen will become active.

After clickig on "Restore Selected Files", a new window with several optional settings opens.

Depending on your needs, you can modify one or several of the settings or leave them as they are. By clicking "OK" in the lower right corner of the window, the restore process is started. After the start of the restore process, you will be taken to the History view, where you can track any running restore jobs as well as check previous ones or view logs.
